| Hi everyone! Great to see that there's a reunion in the works. Would love to be able to help out - but not sure what I can do from here in Colorado. Hope everyone is well and happy in their lives 30 years later. Grown children, mortgages, and maybe even grandchildren -- man, time flies doesn't it? I'll make sure to pass on the info to those from high school that I've stayed in touch with. We're going on a cruise in July of 09 (25th anniversary, last child graduating, etc.) so not sure our if will be able to swing two trips to Texas -- but will give a good try. | |||

Hello to all my long lost Aldine friends. For most of you it's been 30 years. For me, it's been 31. I left Aldine for Nimitz my senior year. I had to make a tough choice that year and decided on Nimitz because it was closer to the house and, well, with the price of gas and all............... Actually, due to the car accident I had in April of 78 (remember that) I was going to be unable to march in band my senior year. I knew that a lot of the swimmers (underclassmen) were going to Nimitz and had a good chance to win our district in swimming. I made my choice. What very few people know is that I tried reverse my decision that summer and get back to Aldine. The district official at the time (Mr. Goodman) said "no" and the rest is history. I hope you all are well and that I can make it to the "Aldine" reunion and say hello to you all again in person. Bob Herbert |

Let's not rush it - it's only been 29 years, next year will be 30 years. No, I'm not having "age" issues. If I got to drive before you did in High School (which was cool), chances are I'm still older than you (not so cool now). Sometimes it seems like High School was so long ago and other times it seems like yesterday. It will be great to see everyone and catch up with old friends. I've stayed in contact with some people from our class, upper and under classmen as well.....which includes those we have been ordered by the courts to stay in touch with too.... (just kidding lol). |
